Waiting....

This last weekend Katie, Aaron and Matea were here - along with Gary, Angela and Grandma Lynn. We had a fun birthday celebration and just hung out. The weather was so wonderful. While we were out in the yard Katie noticed a Mourning Dove who didn't seem too happy with her. She found the reason for the annoyance - we were quite close to a nest!! We then discovered that a Blue Jay also made a nest in another tree in the front yard. I'm not sure how long it takes before the eggs hatch but both Mama birds have been faithfully sitting on their nests the last few days. I haven't been able to get a shot of the Blue Jay yet but here's a peek at Mrs. Mourning Dove.
